Ted Gentry is a registered engineer and has over 30 years of experience working in both Massachusetts public and private construction. Our project and site managers are licensed builders and seasoned project managers.

Management of public and private construction projects is a primary business of the firm, not a sideline to supplement other kinds of work. We work closely with City and Town’s building committees, facilities personnel, the design team and contractor to achieve successful projects of with creative and efficient designs. Using our understanding of the process, we apply the correct skill sets to get the work done. Having all of the various skill sets required for this work, we augment the client’s team and designers to manage each project in the most efficient way. review of design progress, bidding, contractor selection and construction progress in the most efficient way all as an extension of the owner's organization.

We are a small firm, with large firm experience, dedicated to the successful completion of our projects. Ted Gentry is a registered engineer with in-depth experience as a builder and manager of professionals. We do this work every day in both the private and public sectors and can analyze building projects from many different points of view. Our true role as Project Manager is to ensure that as the owner, you understand the implications and tradeoffs of every decision that may impact the project quality, cost and completion. We then apply the systems needed to monitor and control the project to meet each goal and ensure the program’s overall success. We develop total project budgets and overall project schedules to fit each client’s need. We have experience in many building types including public and private schools, college and university facilities, medical, institutional and pharmaceutical buildings, commercial, retail and tenant fit-up construction, multi-unit residential, hotels and warehouse and distribution facilities.

Many forward thinking public and private entities decide to hire a project manager to assist with the pre-construction as well as construction phases of complex projects. Ted Gentry Associates provides preconstruction phase services to both our public and private sector clients including public schools, healthcare organizations, colleges and universities, and real estate investors. Many different project delivery systems have been used by this seasoned team of construction veterans. Preconstruction services provided were crucial for Plymouth’s phased, $11 million program at PCIS as well as their $90 million North High School as well as for the new $49 million Whitman-Hanson Regional High School and Medford’s $111 million school program. Additionally, Milton Hospital’s $40 million addition renovation project employed us as project managers in the construction phase of this complicated project.

In addition to performing construction management services as an advisor and owner’s representative, Ted Gentry Associates has significant experience with building new, renovated and rehabilitated structures as a general contractor and construction manager. The experience gained over the years as builders has created good relationships with subcontractors and other construction consultants. We understand the means and methods of general construction; experience as a builder provides us with valuable information we will use as project managers for all our clients’ projects.
